The Gospel for All:
A 40-Day Journey Through the Gospel of Luke
Living in Beijing can be busy and fast-moving. During the next 40 days of Lent, we invite you to slow down and reflect on the journey of our divine Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—the One who came in the flesh to seek and save the lost. As we follow His life and ministry through the Gospel of Luke, we are reminded again and again that the Gospel is not reserved for the deserving, the qualified, or the powerful.
The Gospel is for ALL, for EVERYONE, and for EVERYWHERE.
As we live out the Gospel and pursue City Church’s 2026 vision—
“At City Church, we are a people empowered by the Spirit to proclaim Christ so that, even in great opposition, the Gospel might reach all peoples in all places, thereby bringing all who believe into God’s family (visibly represented through local churches).
our hope is that these 40 days (with Sundays as our weekly pause of celebration) will strengthen you to live your faith with courage, clarity, and love. May this journey empower you to share the Gospel boldly and without compromise.
We pray that your faith is renewed, your heart encouraged, and your life transformed by the Word of God. As you read through the Gospel of Luke and walk through this devotional with our church community, may you meet Jesus again in a fresh and powerful way.
Because the Gospel truly is for all—
and that changes everything.
