Usher MinistryWhat is this Ministry?• The Usher Ministry coordinates the offering and communion and helps handle other lobby issues as needed. What is my commitment? How often? What do I do?• Help with seating, especially after the service begins on days when the service is “very full”. • Solutions to “capacity problems” when needed (setting up more chairs, etc.) • Regulation of congregation comfort (auditorium heating/cooling, etc.) • Passing the offering bags and security of the offering after collection. • Serving communion. • If you’d like to be involved with leading this and recruiting ushers, then you’d be responsible once a month to help. Otherwise, your commitment is just as needed on Sunday, once a month. Do I need any training? How can I get it?• A small amount of training is needed if you want to be involved with leading this ministry and recruiting ushers every week. Otherwise, the other “training” is just being about to help out on Sunday as needed. What should I do to get involved? Who do I contact?• Please contact the office: admin.english.zgc(a)bicf.org. Why should I do this ministry?• The goal of Sunday morning is to help God’s people enter into worship and know God better. Ushers and others involved with this “behind-the-scenes” work help accomplish that purpose. Come be a part of serving Christ and his Church! |
