Set-up

What is this Ministry?

• The Set-up team sets up the sound equipment, microphones, and other equipment on stage before the service on Sundays. We also tear down at the end of the day and put everything away.

What is my commitment? How often? What do I do?

• Our goal is to have four teams so that each team can be responsible for one Sunday. We’d also like to move toward having a “set-up” team and a “tear-down” team. If you join, you’ll be asked to commit to one or two Sundays a month. This will mean you get here early before the first service OR stay late after the second service.

Do I need any training? How can I get it?

• The “training” involved simply means being able to follow directions. Come join us for a few weeks and you’ll see how easy it is! As you begin, you can just help set things up. Then as you get more used to things, you’ll learn how to connect the microphones or the music. Other training will be provided on the job.

What should I do to get involved? Who do I contact?

• If you would like to get involved please contact Marcus Muhariwa, the Setup Team Leader ( marcusmuhariwa(a)yahoo.com ) or the office ( admin.english.zgc(a)bicf.org ).

Why should I do this ministry?

• This is a crucial ministry to the body of Christ. Although it is behind the scenes, it’s indispensable. This is a great chance to directly serve and bless the Church. It’s also a great chance to learn about some sound/music/electronic equipment as you see everything come together each week. Give it a try!
