First ImpressionWhat is this Ministry?• First Impressions welcomes newcomers and provides information about BICF ZGC and the facilities at our location. We check IDs and clean the auditorium of rubbish after the service. We try to get new folk connected especially with small groups and ask them to fill a first time slip so contact can be made. What is my commitment? How often? What do I do?• Each week a different “First Impressions Team” works the two Sunday Morning services. If you join this ministry, you’ll join a specific “team” and be scheduled once a month to help set up the tables in the lobby, check people’s passports and help answer questions after the service. Do I need any training? How can I get it?• Training is provided on the job. You’ll be working with a team so when you arrive, other team members will show you how to set up the tables and check passports. The other team members can also help answer questions that congregation members have. What should I do to get involved? Who do I contact?• If you’d like to get involved, talk to any of the First Impressions Team members! Or you could just come early on a Sunday and offer to help. You can also contact Rob Eberz, the office administrator. zgc(a)bicf.org Why should I do this ministry?• First Impressions is the “face” of the church to the outside world. Team members are charged with showing Christ’s love and touching the hearts of the congregation with a smile and a greeting. Come join the team! |
