DramaWhat is this Ministry?• Occasionally we have drama productions in our church. Sometimes this takes the form of a short skit before the sermon; other times it is a full production at Christmas time or at Easter. This ministry is being part of a team that is willing to participate should the need arise. What is my commitment? How often? What do I do?• If you agree to be part of this team, it means that you are part of a pool of people that “are willing to participate in a drama.” In the past, this has meant skits in the service two or three times a year. However, if this team were to grow, it might be as often as once a month. • If you were on this team you would get a call from someone on the Inspiration Team several weeks before the skit. You’ll be asked if you’re free to participate. If yes, you’ll be sent a short skit by email for you to look at. Then you’ll be asked to stay after church the week before the skit OR come early the day of the skit to run through it several times with the other participants. Do I need any training? How can I get it?• No training! We’re not professional actors. You just need a desire and interest in using drama for the Lord. What should I do to get involved? Who do I contact?• If you’re interested, just send a short email to the inspiration team leader at inspiration.english.zgc(a)bicf.org. Why should I do this ministry?• Drama is a great tool for worship in the church … and maybe it is your niche! It helps direct people’s hearts to the Lord and gives Him glory. If you’re artistic and want to have a try, come and join us! |
