Children's MinistryWhat is this Ministry?• The purpose of Children's Ministry is to actively direct and engage our children in their exciting walk with their forever friend, Jesus Christ. What is my commitment? How often? What do I do?• There are many ways to get involved in children's ministry. Can you set up a table? Pull out chairs? Check batteries in toys? We have a spot for you! Can you hold a child, laugh with a child or give hugs? We have a spot for you! Can you follow a curriculum and lead a class? We have a spot for you! Your skills are most welcome and we can work with your time schedule. Do I need any training? How can I get it?• Have you ever held a rattle? Pretended to be a superhero? Pretended to be a princess? Wanted to grow up and be just like your mommy or daddy? Was way too embarrassed to be seen with your mom or dad? If so, then you are already on your way to being "trained" in children's ministry! In other words, you've been a kid and you know what it's like. • Additional training on how to run a class smoothly and how to prepare will be provided in a short training session. Additional one-on-one training can also be provided. What should I do to get involved? Who do I contact?• Please contact our children's ministry leader at children.english.zgc(a)bicf.org. Why should I do this ministry?• At BICF, we believe that the single most essential aspect of a child's life - indeed, anyone's life - is his or her relationship with Jesus Christ. If it is your heart's desire to see a child (yours or someone else's) have a lifelong relationship with Jesus, we want to partner with you to build this foundation. • Our children's ministry is a place where kids feel safe and loved. We surround children with familiar faces and teach them about God in a vibrant, creative way. We long for children to become infused with the love of Christ from the moment they enter our doors. |
