Like a family is our way of saying we want you to feel at home in Beijing. If you are like me, you’re a long way from your extended family and support network.

Perhaps more now than at any other time in your life, you need a group of friends that can surround you with love and support. It is our hope that you will find that love and support at the Beijing International Christian Fellowship.

Whether your stay in Beijing will be short or long, we believe identifying closely with a local church is one of the best things that you can do.

In the next few pages, we will be addressing the question: “Why membership?”

We will look at what it means to be a member. We will share with you our mission as a church and the vision we believe God has given us. As we look at our statement of faith together, I just know you will say, “Yes, I believe that, too!”

At the end of this booklet, you will find what we call our fellowship agreement. The fellowship agreement lets the church leadership and other members know that you are serious about being a part of the local church. It helps you say loudly, “I desire to be in healthy accountable relationships with my brothers and sisters.”

We want you to feel at home with us, just like a family.
