Volunteer Opportunities

    Whether you’re planning to be here in Beijing for a few months or a few years, we strongly encourage you to get involved with one of the many ministry areas at BICF. Not only will you have the opportunity to bless others by using your gifts and abilities for God’s glory, but you will also be blessed through the relationships that you develop as an active part of the BICF family. We believe that serving at BICF can be a truly life-changing experience, and we sincerely hope you will receive that blessing by getting involved today.

    Hospitality Ministry

    “Contribute to the needs of the saints, and seek to show hospitality.”  – Romans 12:13

    The goal of the Hospitality Ministry is to make every person who visits BICF feel welcome at our church. Whether it’s through a friendly smile at the door, a handshake in the hallway, or a conversation and cup of coffee at the café, we want to express God’s love in such a way that everyone feels like a part of the family when they come to our church.

    The Hospitality Ministry includes:

    • Sonrise Café Team

    • Usher Team

    • Greeter Team

     

    Inspiration Ministry

    “Let all things be done decently and in order.”  – 1 Corinthians 14:40

    The Inspiration Ministry covers every aspect of our Sunday services, and helps things run smoothly from beginning to end. By organizing and coordinating the various ministry teams, using technical skills in audio & video, or just lending a hand with setting up equipment, the

    Inspiration Ministry helps ensure that every church service is a special one.

    The Inspiration Ministry includes:

    • Production & Lighting Team

    • Setup Team

    • Audio/Video Team

     

    Prayer Ministry

    “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” – Philippians 4:6

    Prayer is an essential foundation for every other aspect of Christian living. The Prayer Ministry is committed to upholding our church members, ministries, and services through the power of prayer.

    The Prayer Ministry includes:

    • Pre-Service Prayer Team

    • Prayer Counselor Team

    • Intercessory Prayer Team

     

    Worship Arts Ministry

    “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.” – John 4:24

    Through music, dance, drama, and other forms of creative expression, the Worship Arts Ministry seeks to worship God in spirit and truth with integrity, ability, and unity, and to lead others into His presence.

    The Worship Arts Ministry includes:

    • Music Team

    • Dance Team

    • Drama Team

     

    Children’s Ministry

    “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6

    Children are a vital part of our church family. Our Children's Ministry seeks to help our children grow more in love with Jesus Christ and His Word through a variety of methods, including worship, giving, and sound Biblical teaching. Our goal is to teach our children how to know God, to experience and enjoy His love, and to serve Him faithfully by sharing the joy of His forgiveness and salvation with others.

    The Children’s Ministry includes:

    • Sunday School Team

    • Childcare Team

    • Vacation Bible School (VBS) Team

     

    Youth Ministry

    “Our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.” - Psalm 144:12

    The Youth Ministry seeks to encourage, challenge and train our young people to reach forward by actively pursuing spiritual growth, reach back by serving and mentoring others, reach out to the local community and peers, and reach up by worshiping God in spirit and in truth. If you’re a fun-loving person who is serious about Jesus, come join us!

    The Youth Ministry includes:

    • Middle School Team

    • High School Team

    • Youth Camp Team

     

    Impact Ministry

    “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’” – Isaiah 6:8

    The overall goal of the Impact Ministry is best described by the BICF Vision Statement: “to impact cities, nations, and the world for Christ.” This is accomplished through outreach trips, social projects, and humanitarian efforts both in China and around the world.

    Some Impact Ministry opportunities include:

    • Medical Missions

    • Orphanage & Foster Home Visits

    • Elderly Care

     

    Other Ministry Areas

    “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.” – 1 Corinthians 12:4-6
